ENDANGERED
The Tasmanian Masked Owl (Tyto novaehollandiae castanops) looks a little like a barn owl, but is much bigger. Adult females can weigh up to 1.3kg and have a wingspan of nearly 130cm! There are only about 600 breeding pairs left in the wild.
